On April 6th, ADMC concluded distribution deals with both du and Etisalat to distribute the Premier League Abu Dhabi Sports channels on their IPTV networks. This is another key milestone on the path to delivering the EPL across multiple platforms to maximize both reach and choice for viewers. More deal announcements are on the way.

EPL and Korea

On the 24th of March , we announced a partnership with Humax to distribute HD decoders that will enable viewers to view the Abu Dhabi Sports Premier League channels in HD as of August 2010. Direct-To-Home satellite is one of the three ways, , along with IPTV and web streaming, viewers in the MENA region will be able to watch the world’s favourite league. Concluding this agreement was an important milestone to ensure the necessary products will be available in time for subscribers to catch the beginning of the football season.

As part of our discussions with Humax, I made a quick trip to Seoul. In the course of conversations, I was told several South Korean companies have factories in the North with daily movements of goods and people across the border. Of course there are still problems but this aspect of the relationship between North and South is rarely covered in the media. It is ironic that the Arab world probably has the same misconceptions about the two Koreas due to incomplete information as the rest of the world has about the Arab world.
